In 2013, the median time for an initial decision for submitted manuscripts was 6 days, and the median time from submission to acceptance for all articles was 27 days. Journal of Neurosurgery: Pediatrics is devoted to the publication of work relating primarily to neurosurgery, including studies in clinical neurophysiology, organic neurology, ophthalmology, radiology, pathology, and molecular biology. Articles on unusual cases and technical notes of special instruments or equipment that might be useful to others in the field of neuroscience are also acceptable. Case reports should be brief and not include an extensive review of the literature. The Editorial Board reserves the right to judge the appropriateness of studies involving human and laboratory subjects.
