This system is in use since 2001 by authors and peers across the globe and over 45,000 manuscripts have been processed through it. Eliminating use of postal or hard copy submissions, this online submission and processing of articles has resulted in considerable decrease in the submission to decision (turnaround) time.
Most of the journals published by Medknow are archived at multiple places including OAI-compliant e-print repositories (http://bioline.utsc.utoronto.ca/), PubMedCentral, Portico, CLOCKSS and sites such as Bioline International (http://www.bioline.org.br) and MedInd. Content of the Medknow journals is also available for harvesting from http://www.medknow.com/oai2/. Thus, ensuring the long term archiving and accessibility of the published content.

Asian Journal of Transfusion Science (AJTS, ISSN 0973-6247) is publication of ... Indian Society of Blood Transfusion and Immunohemtology (ISBTI). It is the extension of 'Transfusion Bulletin' of ISBTI which was published in the year 1980 and it disseminated the knowledge of transfusion science to all members of ISBTI for 26 years. The bulletin was circulated quarterly on regular basis among more than two thousand members of ISBTI, all medical college libraries and all blood banks (about 2200 in number) in India. It is a special window particularly for the Asian scientists to put forward their scientific materials to the world community. This journal will try to become a mouth-piece of the scientific community from the developing world.
