The São Paulo Medical Journal / Revista Paulista de Medicina, founded ... in 1932, is one of the oldest medical publications in Brazil. The journal is published bimonthly by the Associação Paulista de Medicina, and accepts original articles in the fields of Basic Health Science and Clinical Health Science (Internal Medicine, Gynecology and Obstetrics, Mental Health, Surgery, Pediatrics, and Public Health). Articles will also be accepted in the form of review papers, updating papers, case reports, short communications and letters to the Editor. Papers with a commercial objective will not be accepted. Its abbreviated title is São Paulo Med. J., which should be used in bibliographies, footnotes and bibliographical references and strips.
